The amount that a website costs depends on a website's design and the techincal side of getting a website on the internet. There are two parts to getting a website working properly on the internet:
The first part involves securing a domain name (the name that people type into their browsers to get to your website) as well as obtaining the space, bandwidth and all the other technical stuff needed to put a website out here on the web. The hosting of a website usually has an annual cost which includes minor updates to your website and office hour tellephonic support.
The second part involves the design and programming of your website. This includes everything that you want your website to be able to do, such as having ecommerce facilities, forms for people to send messages to you with, the look and feel of your website, generally how your website behaves on the internet. The design of a website usually has a once off cost which includes search engine optimization and submission and an online website statistics program.
